چکیده
The Polaris-LAMP multi-modal 3-D gamma-ray imager is a radiation mapping and imaging platform which uses commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) detector integrated with contextual sensor localization platform. integration of these systems enables free-moving capability proximity mapping, coded-aperture, Compton modalities, can create reconstruction photon sources from tens keV to several MeV. Gamma-ray events are recorded using segmented cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) (Polaris-H Quad by H3D Inc., Ann Arbor, MI, USA), while scene data derived computation package developed Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory includes GPS, laser ranging, inertial measurement sensors. An onboard computer inputs rapidly updating pose (10 Hz) estimates simultaneous (SLAM) algorithm. precise event location timing resolution the Polaris CZT above hundred keV, at lower images localized coded-aperture techniques. concept diverse spanning 59-keV emission 241 Am 1.1 1.3 MeV lines xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">60 Co. GRI: The Gamma-Ray Imager mission
With the INTEGRAL observatory, ESA has provided a unique tool to the astronomical community revealing hundreds of sources, new classes of objects, extraordinary views of antimatter annihilation in our Galaxy, and fingerprints of recent nucleosynthesis processes. While INTEGRAL provides the global overview over the soft gamma-ray sky, there is a growing need to perform deeper, more focused inves...
متن کاملISGRI: the INTEGRAL Soft Gamma-Ray Imager
For the first time in the history of high energy astronomy, a large CdTe gamma-ray camera is operating in space. ISGRI is the low-energy camera of the IBIS telescope on board the INTEGRAL satellite. This paper details its design and its in-flight behavior and performances. Having a sensitive area of 2621 cm with a spatial resolution of 4.6 mm, a low threshold around 12 keV and an energy resolut...
متن کاملMulti-View Image Coding in 3-D Space Based on 3-D Reconstruction
In this paper, we propose a multi-view image coding system that operates directly in 3-D space, and it is based on 3-D scene reconstruction. Unlike existing multi-view image coding schemes, in which the 3-D scene information of the images to be encoded is represented by a mesh model as well as the texture data, we use a 3-D voxel model to represent the 3-D scene information of the considered ...
متن کاملGamma–ray lens development status for a European Gamma–Ray Imager
A breakthrough in the sensitivity level of the hard X-/gamma-ray telescopes, which today are based on detectors that view the sky through (or not) coded masks, is expected when focusing optics will be available also in this energy range. Focusing techniques are now in an advanced stage of development. To date the most efficient technique to focus hard X-rays with energies above 100 keV appears ...
متن کامل3-D Image Reconstruction in Optical Tomography
The Problem: Optical tomography (OT), as a potential diagnostic tool for detecting growths in translucent soft tissue, has been proposed and studied by several groups in recent years. Its principle is to use multiple movable light sources and detectors attached to the tissue surface to collect information on light attenuation, and to reconstruct the internal 3-D absorption and scattering distri...
